SavvyCertified IA Training Course

FAA-accepted · 8 hours · Free

This video-based online course is designed primarily for A&P mechanics with Inspection Authorization (IA) privileges who are required to complete 8 hours of certified training annually to maintain their IA. The course is also open to anyone interested in modern, evidence-based aircraft maintenance.

  • FAA regulations relevant to IA maintenance
  • Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM)
  • Principles of troubleshooting
  • Minimally invasive cylinder repair techniques
  • Borescope inspections
  • Engine monitor data analysis
  • Real-world troubleshooting scenarios

The course consists of 8 modules with quizzes. Learners must complete all modules and pass each quiz to receive credit. Upon completion, certified mechanics receive a completion certificate that can be submitted to the FAA. Completing the course also earns a SavvyCertified badge.
